Shipments of ultrabooks and ultra-like notebooks are expected to double in 2013 as vendors adjust their product mix to cope with falling market demand, DigiTimes in Taiwan has claimed.Vendors are shifting more capacity to ultrabooks and ultra-like models as consumers seek out “value added” products.
DigiTimes claims that declining prices will help ramp up ultrabook sales.
Ultrabooks will account for 10% of global notebook shipments in 2013, and ultra-like ones will make up another 10%, the sources estimated.
