Miele’s S5 vacuum cleaners have a maximum power input of 2200-Watts, and have electronically adjustable settings for different types of floors. The vacuum cleaners also have a silence setting, reducing sound emissions to a pleasant level without compromising the cleaning efficiency and speed.
Unique features include ergonomic, easy-to-manoeuvre ComfortHandle for operating convenience as well as +/- foot switches with a LED indicator so that the user can operate the controls by foot without having to bend down.
Integrated power controls in the handle ensure a minimalistic design. Modern, contemporary and metallic colours of the Miele S5 series models are complemented by a sleek and stylish aluminium-look trim.
All units are designed and built to last for 1,000 operating hours which equals 20 years under average household use.
Units in the range include:
- S 5281 MEDICAIR – an Allergy Specialist. The HEPA 12 filtration and Allergotec floor head with its hygiene sensor is most valuable to assist in the relief of symptoms for allergy sufferers.
- S 5361 CAT & DOG M.A.X – ‘Pet Specialist. Funky, modern and sure to be the preference for pet lovers, this model features a double-layer metallic lacquer in appealing garnet red.
- S 5781 TOTAL CARE – Total Care Specialist. The stylish, double coat of metallic silver lacquer on the Total Care Specialist gives a sense of style and distinction to this premium floorcare product.
- S 5311+SBB – Hard Floor Specialist. This contemporary, high-gloss finish complements today’s modern interiors and home furnishings.
- S 5211 in Capri Blue – Family Care-Taker. This smart colour reflects the durability and high quality of the vacuum cleaner. Its ‘Silence’ setting ensures quietness.
- S 5981 + SEB 217 – Luxury Floor Specialist. Titanium metallic silver reflects this vacuum’s luxury design and premium cleaning performance. The Electro Powerbrush ensures deep cleaning performance for deep pile carpets. The powered rotary brushes integrated into the floor head will minimise the time spent on vacuuming.
At the heart of the new S5 floor care series is the HyClean dust bag, which is included with each of the six new models. The HyClean dust bag is a delivers a hygiene system that has nine-ply, random-spun microfibre technology offering good dust filtration, retention and storage.
Part of this multi-layer approach, is the protective netting on the inside and outside of each HyClean dust bag. This protects the bag from damages caused by sharp objects entering the dust bag at high speed and improves the tear-proof properties of the bag’s welded seams.
Inside, airflow guides have been introduced to direct dust deep into the bag to ensure even distribution of particles and allergens. This technology makes sure that the entire dust bag is used to the full, extending the lifespan of HyClean dust bags by up to 25 percent.
Removing a Miele HyClean dust bag is easy and hygienic with the new HyClose self-closing dust trap. This effectively locks in all the dirt and dust inside the as soon as the bag compartment is opened.
