Ex- Ten news boss to head up Voda’s media relations
Vodafone Australia has announced “experienced newsman” Anthony Flannery, as its new head of corporate media relations including network, strategic announcements and financial reporting.
Flannery has worked in news for 25 years, and is former head of news and operations at Network Ten, and head of news at New Zealand’s TVNZ.
“Anthony is highly respected by the Australian media as one of the best operators in the business,” said Vodafone’s general manager corporate affairs, Elise Davidson.
“He brings with him a deep understanding of the Australian media landscape and a broad network of contacts.”
He joins Michelle Quint, who is responsible for the business’s consumer media relations, and will form part of the wider corporate affairs team led by Davidson.
“We have an amazing story to tell and we can’t think of a better person to help us tell it,” Davidson added.
Flannery says he’s “proud to be making this step to a company that is serious about offering great customer service and a great product to its customers.”
He starts the new role with Vodafone on August 12.
