Troubled Vodafone has just hired Telstra’s former media guru to head its Corporate Affairs division.
Karina Keisler, Telstra’s former Principal Advisor for Media Relations, has just been appointed General Manager of Corporate Affairs at Vodafone.
“The company is going through a great deal of change, is working hard to rebuild its reputation and has a lot of promise for the future,” Keisler said in an emailed statement.
“I relish the opportunity to be part of what so far appears to be a very determined team with a winning culture and strong leadership.”
Keisler resigned from Telstra in May last.
She will be relocating from Melbourne to Sydney and is “looking forward to sinking my teeth back into things with my new team later this month.”
However, the former Telstra exec will have her work cut out at the red telco, who recently announced a loss of $131 million and lost 178,000 customers in the first six months of 2012.
