Vodafone is releasing an alternative to the common household landline, the Vodafone Mobile Landline where a phone call is transferred to a user’s mobile.
Matthew Lobb, general manager – fixed broadband at Vodafone Australia explains the Vodafone Mobile Landline redirects any calls made to a home phone number to a customer’s chosen Vodafone postpaid mobile number.
Lobb says customers can still keep their landline number even if they move house. The caller ID on your mobile will tell a user who is calling and can leave a message on your mobile voicemail.
The Vodafone Mobile Landline service is priced at $5 a month with no lock-in period.
Initially this service will be available for Vodafone nbn customers, but will be progressively offered to postpaid and prepaid mobile customers.
Vodafone is also launching ts new Wi-Fi Booster, extending the Wi-Fi signal in a user’s home. It connects up to 32 compatible Wi-Fi devices. It is priced at $180 or $5 on a 36-month interest free accessory payment plan.
Today, the telco is switching to its first new mobile site under the Victorian government’s regional rail connectivity project. The new site is in Kilmore East with it expected to be switched on June 30.
The site will provide additional coverage and capacity to Vodafone customers, and more choice to commuters travelling on the Seymour line.
