Vodafone Australia has all but ruled itself out of cutting a deal with Apple to launch the iPhone in Australia in 2008 following a move by its parent company in Europe to gear itself up to take on the Apple iPhone with a range of mobile phones for the all-important Christmas market and an “all you can eat” music download service.
