Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S7 smartphone could be water resistant if a new video teaser is anything to go by.The video, which has appeared on Samsung’s Indonesia website, shows Indonesian archer Dellie Threesyadinda in training, at one point using a smartphone resembling the Galaxy S6 edge in pouring rain.
However, despite showing the smartphone being used in the rain, a disclaimer on the website states that the video scene “is for dramatisation purposes only”.
“This product is not water resistant and it should not be exposed to and/or submerged into water/liquid,” the disclaimer states.
The video is titled: “Samsung Galaxy: Get Ready for #TheNextGalaxy”, while accompanying the video is a timeline of Galaxy S devices, which ends in a question mark following last year’s Galaxy S6 releases.
The video also shows the smartphone being wirelessly charged, being used as a fitness aid and as a camera, ending with the tagline “This is the next level”.
Samsung is set to unveil its next-gen smartphone offerings at an event at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona on February 21.
