The problem many people report with some external storage units is that they look unsightly – particularly when you have more than one unit.
That’s why Western Digital developed its latest storage modules for home use to look like books, in discreet black.
The manufacturer claims the compact case of My Book takes up less space on your desk and allows the units to be stacked horizontally, so two or more drives can sit together neatly like books on a shelf.
They have also been designed to suit even the least tech-minded computer user, being completely plug-and-play (the software automatically loads from the drive) so no drivers are required.
Western Digital has also included a smart power function, so the units turn on and off with the computer.
My book comes in two capacities, 250GB (RRP $299) and 500GB (RRP $469). They are being sold nationwide through Officeworks. More information is available at www.westerndigital.com
