Westinghouse Fridge Tech Upgrades

In time for the Winter holidays, Westinghouse has tech-upgraded its compact side-by-side fridge range to offer digital controls and energy efficient functions including a low-power consuming ‘holiday’ mode.

The new ice and water models will feature an LCD screen from which you can control the fridge’s various functions, including temperature controls, rapid chills (for cooling down a bottle of white wine in a hurry) and fast freeze, (for freezing foods in a hurry).

The fridge sports a 4.5 star energy rating and includes a door alarm if you’ve got the door open too long and a choice of normal, eco and holiday modes. The latter is designed to take into consideration that when you’re away, the door isn’t going to be constantly opened, thus requiring more energy to keep it cool, so it uses the lowest possible energy consumption to keep the fridge at a constant temperature.

An external water filter is also in place, and there is a choice of cubed or crushed ice as well. The fridges are available in stainless steel, Classic White and Pacific Silver.
