The $2000 mobile phone from Porsche and Sagem may be on its way, but luxury phone maker, Mobiado says its Luminoso mobile phone is the first luxury 3G phone available in the world.
Mobiado isn’t as common a brand name as Motorola or Nokia when it comes to phones, but that’s because it doesn’t make your common type of mobile phone, the company says.

The buttons of the phone are sapphire crystal (no less) and stainless steel, while the inbuilt two megapixel camera’s window is sapphire crystal, and the front screen is coated with DiamondShield.
With WCDMA 2100 and tri-band GSM coverage (GSM/EDGE 900/1800/1900), the Luminoso also features a video camera, supports microSD cards up to 2GB, stereo speakers, Bluetooth, infrared and a music player supporting MP3, MP4, eAAC+ and AAC music files.
The phone, which was originally unveiled in Canada in January, is currently only available to Aussies directly from the company. The Luminoso is not locked to a particular network, so can be used with any GSM network operator.
The phone has a price tag to match its luxury status – a cool $US1800 ($A2130).
