An recent mandatory Xbox 360 update seems to be causing more problems that it solves, going by the amount of concern shown by gamers on the Xbox forum.Looking to fix a sound problem, the update has caused video crashes, and the bugbear of any Xbox fan, the red ring of death.
One user said: “I tried removing the power supply cable and the hard drive. Neither helped. It’s Red-Ringed for sure. “
Others have complained of the same thing happening after the update, which was meant to correct the error causing a lack of sound for Xbox gamers hooking their console up to the TV via HDMI.
