Teac has brought two ‘crystal clear’ radios to OZ just in time for Christmas and ideal for Granny. The two new DAB+ digital radios, the DAB800B and DAB15 Portable, boast far superior sound quality than analogue, high fidelity audio, several pre-set DAB and FM stations.
The Teac’s are also is more resistant to noise and co-channel interference, say its makers.
With a sleek and sophisticated black finish, the table top DAB800B (pictured below) can pre-program eight DAB+ and FM stations each and is equipped with a full range speaker that pumps out “clear” sound from 5W speakers.
The DAB800B also sports an alarm clock and auto time update.

The pricier of the two, DAB800B (costing $169) has an easy-to-read ICON LCD display, and has audio inputs to connect external devices for listening to MP3 or CD’s.
The DAB15 Portable ($79) is handy when on the move and can be powered by DC or 6x AAA batteries for long lasting listening.
Equipped with telescopic antennas, it also features a DAB+PLL FM Tuner, allows for memory of up to 10 DAB+ and 10 FM stations and is a light at 0.65kg.
Also featuring a headphone jack, the DAB15 portable digital radio allows users to appreciate the sharp sounds of digital on their own.
Both the DAB800B and DAB15 come with a 12 month warranty and are available from retailers around Australia.
