Motorola Xoom’s in with cut price tab deal for Christmas buyers as Telstra releases its “affordable” iPad 2 bundles starting at $49 per month. Motorola have just slashed 39% off 10.1 inch Android XOOM Wi-Fi to $399 sold at JB Hi-Fi, Harvey Norman and Costco “making it even more affordable, as well as desirable,” it announced today. The discount is available from today, however, it is unclear if poor sales is behind Xoom sudden price cut or whether it is looking to clear stock as it makes way for new models, announced last week.
It is a massive price cut from original $840 asking price for much hyped Xoom.
iPad currently accounts for around 73% of all tablets bought in Australia, leaving Android devices which includes Acer Iconia (said to be selling well), Asus Eee Pad’s and Toshiba Tab to battle it out for the remains.
XOOM Wi-Fi features a 1GHz dual-core processor and 1 GB of RAM, front-facing and rear-facing cameras, true multi-tasking functionality, and the latest Google Mobile services on a 10.1-inch widescreen HD display – and also comes with inbuilt e-reader.
