Control4 has teamed up with Yale locks to deliver a new security system for the home. Revealed at the 2010 CEDIA Expo in the USA the new Yale offering includes two models that can be integrated into any SmartHouse to control a variety of functions.
Control4 has teamed up with Yale locks to deliver a new security system for the home. Revealed at the 2010 CEDIA Expo in the USA the new Yale offering includes two models that can be integrated into any SmartHouse to control a variety of functions.
Yale who are part of the Assa Abloy Group claim that their new security new platform of intelligent locks is supported by Control4 allow users to directly access and control activities in the home by simply touching the lock which can also be emulated online or directly to a mobile phone.
The new locks which support both Z-Wave and Zigbee include voice assisted programming in English, Spanish and French; personalised access-control scenes for up to 250 users and access to all user programmable settings via a Control4 user interface.
Two models, that were on show at the Control4 booth had capacity touch screen.
Using either Zigbee or Z-Wave the locks can communicate with a Control4 system and due to theuse of internal replaceable batteries can remotely lock and unlock doors with a simple Smartphone command.
The locks are expected to sell in Australia for around $399.
