Featuring an innovative shooting mode, the unit allows consumers to select a resolution and format that is ideal for uploading contents to YouTube or multi-media devices. The unit’s web and mobile modes automatically adjust the camcorder’s resolution to 640 x 480, making it easy to upload files to websites, blogs and social networking sites. Consumers can also import video and play it on their MP3 players without having to transcode the files.
“The [unit] is a next-generation camcorder designed to capture and share content with friends and family on multi-media devices and the internet,” says Sagar Dave, Marketing Manager, DAV, Samsung Electronics Australia. “The camcorder has been designed with internet savvy, video sharing consumers in mind, and we expect this camera to be a huge hit with the web 2.0 generation and anyone who enjoys sharing their world.”
Samsung’s exclusive swivel hand-grip captures hard-to-reach low angle shots, while the prestigious Schenider lens maintains a stylish and ergonomic design. The camcorder’s 10 automatic scene modes and iScene features ensure quality footage is captured.
Samsung’s Face Detection technology automatically detects up to 12 faces within a frame by adjusting focus and exposure to ensure subjects are filmed in the best possible light. Finally, there is a 2.7-inch screen for editing on the fly, while the camcorders’ hefty 34x zoom and image stabilisation feature provides smoother, more vivid images, claims the manufacturer.
