Samsung’s P6800 Galaxy Tab 7.7 offers a slew of market leading specs, including a 1.4GHZ dual core processor, 8GB DDR2 RAM and Samsung’s hailed Super AMOLED Plus display.
The specifications alone would be impressive for a big, heavy tablet, and yet the 7.7 squeezes all of this power into a petit 7 inch frame and 7.89mm thick body. The combination of high performance and small form makes this a tablet truly capable of powerful portable computing.
“The Galaxy Tab 7.7’s ultra-thin design and WXGA Super AMOLED Plus display are impressive differentiators in the tablet marketplace and pillars of our ultimate goal of meeting a wide variety of consumer needs,” said JK Shin, President and Head of Samsung’s Mobile Communications Business.
Internet connectivity is handled with its HSDPA 21Mbps download speed, which won’t damage its battery life as it packs a 5,100 milliamps of power.
To put things into perspective, the 4.3 inch Galaxy S II has a capable 1650 milliamps of battery. But this tablet, which is only a few inches bigger, has more than three times the battery capability to compensate. Wow.
The new Super AMOLED Plus display offers a greater colour palette, presenting darker blacks that contrast with brighter colours. The performance continues with the most concentrated pixel resolution of any tablet yet, with a resolution of 1280 x 800.
A front facing 2MP camera and a 3MP rear camera complement its premium quality finish and make the Galaxy 7.7 a complete tablet solution.
“The new Galaxy Tab 7.7 demonstrates Samsung’s commitment to offering consumers the most choice in the mobile tablet market,” Shin added.
