Oppo has all but confirmed the launch of its next ultra-premium flagship, the Find X9 Ultra, with a senior executive offering the clearest tease yet.
Head of Oppo’s Find series, Zhou Yibao, responded to a fan online asking him to quickly reveal the device with just two words: “Unprecedentedly powerful.”
While light on detail, the comment aligns neatly with a growing stack of leaks pointing to the Find X9 Ultra as Oppo’s most ambitious phone to date.
The handset is tipped to run Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, setting it apart from the Dimensity-powered Find X9 Pro launched earlier this year.
Like the Find X9 Pro which Channel News recently reviewed, cameras are once again shaping up as the headline feature.

Multiple reports suggest Oppo is preparing a monster quad-camera system led by a new 200MP Sony sensor, paired with an ultra-wide lens and not one, but two periscope telephoto cameras.
As we covered back in October, this dual-periscope setup could make the Find X9 Ultra the world’s first phone to offer two dedicated long-range zoom lenses – a potential trump card against rivals like Samsung and Xiaomi.
Leaks also point to a 6.8-inch flat 2K OLED display, a battery in the region of 7,000mAh, ultra-fast wired and wireless charging, IP68/IP69 durability and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

Design-wise, the Ultra may stick with Oppo’s familiar circular camera module rather than the rectangular bump introduced on the Find X9 Pro.
A global launch is now looking increasingly likely, reportedly encouraged by strong international sales of the Find X9 Pro.
In our review, we praised the Find X9 Pro’s Hasselblad-tuned cameras, class-leading battery life and premium feel.
If Oppo can build on that foundation with even more advanced camera hardware, the Find X9 Ultra could be one of the best Android flagships of 2026.
