First shown at the Bristol Hi-Fi Show in the UK, the Aos MC will retail in Australia for $2,999.
Positioned between the Fono MC MK4 and the top-tier Aura MC, the Aos MC is aimed at serious vinyl listeners running quality moving coil cartridges who want reference-inspired engineering without stepping into five-figure territory.
At its core is a two-stage, fully analogue design with no digital control circuitry in the signal path.

Rega has implemented a symmetrical, complementary Class A amplifier using parallel low-noise FETs configured as compound pairs.
The choice of FETs is deliberate: they ensure no bias current flows through the cartridge coil, helping preserve the cartridge’s magnetic geometry and minimise signal interference.
Rega also claims RIAA equalisation accuracy of better than ±0.2dB from 65Hz to 70kHz, with a frequency response stretching from 17.5Hz to 100kHz and total harmonic distortion rated at 0.03%.

A self-adjusting servo compensates for temperature drift to maintain stable performance over time.
Loading and gain are adjustable via rear-panel dip switches. Users can select resistive loading between 70, 100, 150 and 400 ohms, capacitive loading at 1000pF or 4300pF, and switch gain by 6dB to accommodate a range of low-output MC cartridges. Connectivity is strictly RCA in and out.
Housed in a compact half-width aluminium chassis for improved RFI shielding, the Aos MC is set to arrive in Australian stores from March.
A moving magnet (MM) version is also in development.
