JB Hi-Fi and The Good Guy executives hit CES 2026 in Las Vegas hunting for the next big thing — and they may have found it… in the lolly aisle.
Meet Lollipop Star.
And no, these are not your average corner-store lollies.
This is a real, edible lollipop that plays music inside your head. Yes, inside your head.
Created by Lava Brands, Lollipop Star looks like a normal sugary treat — until you bite into it. That’s when things get weird (in a good way). Thanks to bone-conduction technology baked directly into the lolly during production, the moment you chomp down, a private concert kicks off between your ears.
No headphones.
No speakers.
Just vibes… literally.
The sound works by sending tiny vibrations through your teeth and jaw straight to your inner ear. The result? It feels like the music is coming from inside your brain.
Here’s the clever bit: the lolly sits on a stick, and when you put it in your mouth, a small button at the base switches the whole thing on. Bite the lolly and boom — instant in-head soundtrack.
Each Lollipop Star comes preloaded with a song, matched to a flavour and an artist.
Ice Spice? Peach.
Akon? Blueberry.
Armani White? Lime.
While it’s definitely not trying to replace your headphones, Lollipop Star isn’t meant to. This is a novelty — a short, wild tech experience you enjoy for a few minutes, not a gadget you keep for years.
As for the price, expect to pay around A$19.95. And for fans of strange, wonderful tech, the good news is Lollipop Star is expected to launch very soon.
Because apparently, in 2026, even your lollies have playlists.
