Bang & Olufsen is marking its 100th anniversary with two new limited-edition versions of its flagship Beolab 90 loudspeaker: the Phantom Edition and Mirage Edition.
Only 10 pairs of each will be produced globally. The new releases follow the recently announced Beolab 90 Titan Edition and sit within B&O’s Atelier program, which focuses on bespoke materials and hand-finished details.
First launched in 2015 to mark Bang & Olufsen’s 90th anniversary, the Beolab 90 has become one of the most technically ambitious loudspeakers ever sold.
Each speaker packs 18 drivers powered by 8,200 watts of onboard amplification, combined with advanced beam-forming and room-compensation technologies designed to adapt sound output to the listening space.

The Phantom and Mirage editions retain the same acoustic architecture as the standard Beolab 90. The difference lies entirely in their visual and material execution.
The Phantom Edition takes a stealth-like approach, finished almost entirely in black. Semi-transparent PVD metal mesh reveals parts of the speaker’s internal structure, while carbon fibre panels on the face mask, base and shoulder plates reference motorsport-inspired design. A pearl-blasted aluminium frame forms the structural skeleton, giving the Phantom a technical, almost industrial presence.

By contrast, the Mirage Edition leans heavily into colour and visual drama. Its iridescent fabric shifts between sapphire blue and magenta depending on lighting and viewing angle.
Five precision-milled aluminium components on each speaker feature custom gradient anodisation with wave-textured surfaces, intended to visualise sound as a physical form.
Bang & Olufsen has not confirmed pricing, but expectations are firmly north of the current Beolab 90’s price tag of around A$300,000 per pair. Previous anniversary editions have commanded significant premiums, and these will be no exception.
