Notable audio brand, Sennheiser, has provided a sneak peek of its first soundbar at CES 2018, plus its new ‘CX 6.00BT’ lightweight wireless earbuds.
Sennheiser’s first consumer soundbar boasts 13 drivers and 360-degree sound, and is scheduled to roll out by the end of 2018. The ‘3D Soundbar’ is part of its AMBEO 3D audio program.
The soundbar’s 13 drivers include six four-inch woofers, five tweeters, and two top-firing speakers.
As reported by The Verge, Sennheiser describes the system as capable of producing “virtual 5.1.4 sound”.
The company claims its soundbar can detect a room’s walls and ceilings, to create fine-tuned playback.
With a highly acclaimed range of consumer headphones, it’s likely there’ll be much anticipation for its first consumer soundbar.

CX 6.00BT
Priced at just US$99, Sennheiser’s new CX 6.00BT in-ear headphones claim to offer “clear, detailed sound with an enhanced bass response” with “advanced wireless technology”.
The CX 6.00BT utilises Bluetooth 4.2 and Qualcomm® apt-X™.
At just 14g the earphones are lightweight and are joined by a cable around the neck for peace of mind.
They also boast the ability to pair up to two devices simultaneously, enabling consumers to switch between their phone and computer.
Battery life claims to be six hours, with only 1.5 hours of charging required for a full charge.
An integrated microphone with noise cancellation and support for three-way calling is a welcome addition.
