Narwal, which is looking to expand its share of the premium robot vacuum market in Australia, has unveiled the successor to its edge-mopping Flow robovac at CES 2026.
The new Flow 2 robot vacuum and mop is being billed as the company’s “most advanced robotic mop ever.” It features dual 1080p RGB cameras paired with integrated AI designed to detect and avoid objects on the floor, including pets and small valuables such as jewellery. According to Narwal, the system also supports real-time self-cleaning.
When the Flow 2 identifies an object, it keeps a minimum distance of 5cm to prevent accidentally vacuuming it up. The robot then sends a notification to the Narwal app, complete with a photo of the object and its location displayed on a map of the home.
Narwal claims the Flow 2’s AI enables “unlimited” object recognition, powered by its dual RGB cameras with a 136-degree field of view. While the technology sounds impressive, users won’t be able to send the robot on a targeted search mission to locate specific items.
The Flow 2 also introduces new cleaning modes tailored for homes with pets and children. The robovac can issue reminders when it detects misplaced toys, avoid crawling mats, and switch to a quiet mode when approaching a baby’s crib. It can also locate pets while owners are away and automatically deep-clean areas where pets spend the most time.
The Narwal Flow 2 is expected to launch in April 2026, though pricing and pre-order details have yet to be announced.
