As the modern woman charges ahead to ‘have it all’, the contents of her handbag shifts accordingly, and now Australian brand Code Republic has answered our prayers with its debut collection of stylish ‘work-life’ handbags, suitable for laptops, headphones and everything in between.
Heralded a ‘luxe tech’ bag brand, Code Republic is the offspring of Australian entrepreneur Anthea Rowan, who was determined to create a collection of handbags for the tech-savvy woman, without compromising style.
Code Republic’s debut collection incorporates the internal features of laptop bag, with the aesthetics of a feminine and fashionable handbag.
Ms Rowan affirms that Code Republic’s range of tech-friendly handbags is the perfect balance between style and functionality:
“I resigned from my steady job with a leading PC manufacturer to focus solely on this business idea that had been on my mind for far too long. High-end brand names offer little functionality, while tech brands lacked style and sophistication”.
Crafted with genuine cowhide leather, the collection features four styles in three colours – the ‘Danielle’, ‘Lisa’, ‘Sonya’ and ‘Nicole’.
The handbags feature rose gold hardware accents, complimenting a luxurious palm leaf lining.
Of special note is the internal components, which boast separate compartments and added internal protection for technology and consumer electronics.
Code Republic claims that the handbags feature strong reinforced straps, to support the weight of items carried over an extended time.
Code Republic’s debut handbag collection is now available to purchase for RRP$349.95 from selected Harvey Norman and Domayne stores.
