Executives from several leading companies will tomorrow present an overview of future technology at Cedia 2011, which will open its doors at the Sydney Convention and Exhbition Centre in Darling Harbour.In an effort to help the consumer electronics and specialist installer industry understand where technology is going ChannelNews has lined up a series of speakers to talk on marketing, IPTV, Pay TV, Digital Radio and the way in which installers can make money managing power usage in the home.
Among the speakers at the Future of Technology event between 11.00AM and 2.00PM on Wednesday 11th of May will be Ben Kinealy Director of IPTV and Pay TV Telstra Media, Applications and User Experience.
Ben will demonstrate new software that is being used to buffer HD content TV display screens and via Blu ray players. He will talk about the success of BigPond TV and hardware Vs software delivery systems.
Joan Warner, the CEO of Commercial Radio Australia, will talk about Digital Radio and need for a national radio network across Australia that will deliver a multitude of content channels for the home.
Bill Crichton, the VP Asia Pacific for Sanyo, a company that is a global leader in power management and retention of power in the home, will outline how new power technology is a profit earner for installers. Sanyo was recently acquired by Panasonic.
David Richards, the CEO of 4Square Media, will talk about how new technology is set to impact installers and where the CEDIA market is going. He will also outline new businesses and marketing opportunities and some tips on how to operate in a tough market.
The presentations will take place on the show floor at the 2011 CEDIA Expo which is taking place at Darling Harbour Sydney between the 11th to the 13th of May 2011.
