From e-commerce, to insurance, mobile and now internet – Kogan has become the latest re-seller of the NBN, following a partnership with Vodafone. The burgeoning company has thrown down the gauntlet against rival ISPs, and has threatened to “shake up” the NBN market.
Kogan.com Executive Director, David Shafer, encourages consumers to “shop around”, affirming many ISPs are “more interested in maintaining the status quo” than “delivering better broadband”.
“It is important that Aussies understand that, even if they thought they found a good deal in their current ADSL or cable connection, there is no guarantee their existing provider will continue to offer the best value service in the age of nbn, so it’s worth shopping around”, Shafer asserts.
Kogan NBN has debuted three package options – Bronze (NBN 12 tier), Silver (NBN 50 tier) and Gold (NBN 100 tier) – providing users unlimited data and pay-as-you go access on a monthly basis. Plans start from $58.90 per month, with a modem cost of $69.
Eligible customers can take advantage of an introductory offer for ‘Silver’ Kogan NBN for $58.90/per month for the first 24 months, provided they sign up before June 30th.
Kogan NBN’s Gold plan is offering 100Mbps download speeds for $88.90/month. Consumers can cancel anytime, without penalty.
The news follows recent refunds from Optus, Telstra and TPG for delivering slower NBN speeds than pledged last year.
