It is time to take a moment for the 2015 range of the Macbook Pros, the last of the range to have USB-A ports, as they will no longer be sold starting from today.

According to 9to5Mac, the last of the 2015 Macbook Pro laptop have been discontinued as the company announces upgrades to its high end MacBook Pro with a touch-bar range.

The 2015 MacBook Pro had USB-A, SD slots and HDMI ports, it was also the last range to feature a traditional keyboard without the notorious butterfly keys.

However, a number of tech accessory companies – including Apple – stock USB-C to USB ports and hubs so those with the latest hardware can still use other storage devices with USB-A ports.

For those hankering to still get their hands on a legacy device will probably have to visit eBay, Gumtree and possibly Facebook Marketplace.

Apple introduced its new line of 13 and 15-inch MacBook Pros featuring 8th-generation Intel Core processors, with 6-core on the 15-inch model for what Apple claims is up to 70 per cent faster performance and quad-core on the 13-inch model for up to two times faster performance.

Both Macbook Pros are available to buy now.
