Sony goes big on soccer, installs 2014 FIFA World Cup experiential zone at Chatswood.Sony is looking to spread World Cup fever ahead of the Brazil kick off.
Sony’s Kiosk in Chatswood, Westfield has undergone a World Cup makeover with a 13 day ‘experiential zone’, where consumers can play PS4’s FIFA 14 on 4K TV’s, meet the Socceroos and get a free PS4 when they purchase a BRAVIA TV.
The experiential zone is running alongside Sony’s ‘Score Twice’ promo, where it is giving away a PS4 with 4K and Bravia TV’s, and is located on Level 4 at Westfield next to the Sony Kiosk from 19 May-1 June.
Jeremy Senior, Sony’s General Manager Consumer Sales, says “the lead up to the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil is a key purchase period for TVs and we are happy to be able to offer our customers this great deal at this time. The experiential zone is “a fantastic opportunity to further engage consumers during this period.”
Sports lovers can immerse themselves in EA SPORTS FIFA 14 on the PlayStation4 on a large screen 4K Ultra HD TV.
Four members of the Socceroos 2014 World Cup squad will also be paying a visit to the Chatswood kiosk on 22 May from 4-5pm.
Mark Milligan, James Holland, Jason Davidson and Adam Sarota will be onsite to sign fan autographs and pose for photos.
Up to 100 customers will be able to go into the experiential space and receive replica glider Brazuca balls as well as a CD of Samantha Jade’s official Socceroos anthem, “Up”.
Customers will also have the chance to score a bonus copy of EA SPORTS FIFA 14 PS4 game when they purchase selected Sony Sound Bars and Home Theatres.
“We’re very excited to show off the refurbished Kiosk and give our customers the opportunity to experience the best of Sony with this promotion,” said Senior.
All the retailers are going big on the World Cup 2014 including Harvey Norman and Dick Smith.
