Whilst the exact date of the e-commerce’s giant launch is not officially known, first photos reveal that Amazon Australia’s warehouse is certainly operational.

The sign’s slogan – inferring to a “day one” – has reportedly been used by the Bezos-run company for over twenty years, to remind staff that it will always move with times, and endeavour to never fall behind.
Early this month, reports emerged that Amazon had already signed up 500 businesses to it sell from its forthcoming local platform.
Australian merchants have been invited to attend Australia’s first Marketplace Seller Summit in Sydney on November 13th.
Whilst the arrival of Amazon into Australia has been met with mixed feelings from retailers, small businesses, consumers and industry experts, the company’s launch announcement, affirmed the creation of several Australian jobs:
“We are excited to bring thousands of new jobs to Australia, millions of dollars in additional investment, and to empower small Australian businesses through Amazon Marketplace”
“We are optimistic that by focusing on the things we believe customers value most — low prices, vast selection, and fast delivery — over time we’ll earn the business of Australian customers”.
