D-Link has launched its newest Wi-Fi 6 mesh router system, promising faster speeds and higher capacity with less network congestion.
The COVR AX AX1800 Dual Band Seamless Mesh Wi-Fi 6 System is available in a three-pack, a two-pack, or as an individual unit. It features OFDMA and MU-MIMO technology; BSS colouring to organise data packets for network efficiency; Target Wake Time to improve battery life for connected devices; and built-in Speedtest functionality powered by Ookla.
The system uses D-Link’s Smart Steering technology to automatically direct a device to the optimum wireless band for current network traffic, which according to the company, ensures smooth wi-fi delivery for every device in the home regardless of age.
“Combine this with Smart Roaming which keeps you constantly connected to the strongest signal even as you move from room to room, eliminating that annoying and frustrating cycle of disconnecting and reconnecting to different networks. COVR AX gives you one seamless network with no dropouts, all across your home,” the manufacturer said.
The COVR AX AX1800 promises speeds of up to 1.8Gbps, with up to 740 square metres of coverage for the three-pack. It is available now at $549.95 for the three-pack, $399.95 for the two-pack, and $249.95 for the individual router.
