Epson Australia has launched its new versatile WiFi-enabled FastFoto FF-680W high-speed photo and document scanning system with the ability to scan thousands of photos as fast as one photo per second at 300 dpi, saving precious time.
The scanner boasts worry-free scanning for a wide range of media types and sizes, including postcards, panoramic photos up to 36 inches and Polaroid photos. It can capture the image and any additional handwritten notes in a single scan. As well as offering auto-enhancement, colour restoration, red-eye reduction, and other editing features.
Featuring Epson ScanSmart software, the FastFoto FF-680W scanner can scan, organise, email, and store contracts, receipts, and other important files and documents at up to 45 ppm/90 ipm.
The inbuilt Nuance OmniPage Optical Character Recognition (OCR) also enables users to create searchable PDFs, and editable Word and Excel files.
The FastFoto includes both USB and wireless connectivity for more flexibility and enables users to organise collections of photos for quick and easy sharing with the Easy Auto-Upload feature. Users can easily upload images and documents to cloud services such as Google Drive and Dropbox via the FastFoto.
Bruce Bealby, the General Manager – Sales and Marketing for Epson Australia’s Consumer Division, said, “There was clearly a need for an ultra-fast and easy scanning solution that enabled people to digitise hard copy photos often stored in albums or boxes and vulnerable to many kinds of irreversible damage. The new FastFoto FF-680W not only saves these photos but also comes with a host of new features, making it easier to save and bring memories back to life using the latest digital technology.”
The Epson FastFoto FF-680W scanner has an RRP of AU$799 and is available now at www.epson.com.au and all good Epson retailers and resellers.
