A new A3+, 8 colour photo printer from Epson, the Stylus Photo R2000, has been launched by Epson, delivering high quality photographic prints using Epson’s UltraChrome Hi-Gloss2 pigment ink, and giving the advantage of 50 percent more capacity than previous models in its class.
The new Stylus Photo R2000 is said to answer consumers’ calls for improved user convenience allowing larger print jobs to be completed with fewer ink changes.
The new device also offers wireless connectivity, making the R2000 one of the few printers in its category to feature Wi-Fi.
Together with USB and Ethernet connectivity, users can print high quality photographic prints from their iPhones and iPads using the Epson iPrint app, and makes the R2000 a good fit for both the studio or home environment.
The company said it had answered customers’ feedback for Wi-Fi and larger ink cartridges and ensured users get high-quality results, every time. The printhead delivers a variable droplet size down to 1.5pl, resulting in high precision and smooth gradations.
The printer also has an ink mixing function to prevent ink settling in the cartridges, making colour reproduction as accurate as possible.
Thanks to Epson UltraChrome HiGloss2 Ink, users can achieve an ultra-glossy finish for photos, yet enjoy all the benefits of a pigment ink – including durable, long-lasting prints and the flexibility to work with a wide range of media.
In addition to supporting fine art, glossy and matte media, both in cut-sheet and roll-paper formats, the R2000 also prints directly onto CDs/DVDs and thick media such as poster board.
The Epson Stylus Photo R2000 has been launched in the UK. Australian availability is as yet unknown.
