Sony’s PSP, PlayStation Portable which has seen sales slump in Australia during the past 12 months is the hardware purchase most likely to be returned according to a new survey conducted in the UK.Consumers blame “sheer disapointment” with the device which was recently upgraded forcing consumers to buy content online as opposed to using discs as per previous models.
UK discount site myvouchercodes polled 1833 users as to what devices they bwere most likely to return. 6.2 per cent of all returned tech purchases over the last year were PSPs.
The iPad constituted 4.9 per cent, Xbox 360 4.8 per cent and the latest model of iPhone 4.5 per cent. The rest of the top 10 list of returned purchases comprised non-gaming consumer electronics.
34 per cent of those who had returned hardware within the last year blamed it on ‘disappointment.’
