Affordable Alexa-Enabled 4K TV Range
Toshiba has unveiled its newest line of affordable 4K TVs with Amazon Alexa voice-control integration, during IFA 2017 in Berlin.
Alexa will be an inbuilt feature in all these TVs and will give consumers hands-free control, such as turning the power on or off, fast-forwarding or rewinding movies, increasing or decreasing the volume and much more. To do this, users will need an Amazon Echo Dot or Echo smart hub within relative distance.
The new range of Toshiba TVs will vary between a 43″ to 70″ screen size. They will also boast 4K resolution, to heighten and provide a great viewing experience.
Toshiba’s Alexa TV range will be available towards the end of the year, reportedly priced from US$474 (A$596)
The company has also stated it will provide Alexa-integration for all upcoming 2018 TV models too.
New Premium 55″ & 65″ OLED HDR TV Range
For the other end of the market, Toshiba has unveiled a new premium range with stunning TV trimmings inclusive of aesthetically pleasing bezel-free design for the large 65″ version. The product will offer super thin design and effective cable management.
Both models will include OLED with individually lit pixels, plus be capable of displaying 99% of the DCI-P3 colour space, for greater colour accuracy.
HDR support will also be available in both HDR 10 and Dolby Vision guises, with support for Hybrid Log Gamma also.
Toshiba’s new range of premium TVs are also expected to hit the market later in the year, with the smaller, slightly thicker, 55″ version reportedly starting at US$2022 ($2545).
