Kogan Mobile has launched its first prepaid mobile broadband plans using Vodafone’s 4G network.
While Kogan Mobile has been offering prepaid plans on the Vodafone network since 2015, this is the first time the company has offered data-only plans for use in wireless 4G modems, tablets, and other devices.
“Many Australians still experience the poor quality and slow speeds of legacy ADSL services,” said Kogan Mobile’s executive director David Shafer.
“Customers who rent their homes may want to avoid going through the process of signing up with an ADSL provider, and avoid fixed-line phone connections — especially when NBN services will continue to be rolled out over the coming years,” Shafer said.
Kogan Mobile will initially offer two plans, with higher data plans available in the future.
- Data S: 8GB for 30 days = $29.90, or $329.90 for a year-long commitment
- Data M: 30GB for 30 days = $49.90, or $549.90 for a year-long commitment
Earlier this month, Kogan announced it would begin selling fixed-line NBN services through Vodafone in 2018.
