KWorld is bringing out a higher-end multimedia device for the modern home theatre that runs most popular video and audio formats at the highest quality.
A sizeable upgrade to the M120 (in both style and function), the M210 Home Media Center features Internet content streaming alongside video, audio and photo streaming from a range of storage devices.
Web content from sites like YouTube and Picasa can be streamed to TVs at up to 1080p resolution, all controlled by remote.
Audio encoding supports AC3 and DTS for high quality sound suitable for high-end sound systems as well as the average TV set up.
The hard disk drive-compatible device allows 2.5 inch and 3.5 inch HDDs to be hot swapped without having to open the casing, making hard drive storage as simple as using USB thumb drives.
Connectivity ranges from HDD storage to housing USB 2.0 and ESATA ports for media on multiple platforms. Outputs vary with HDMI, YPbPr and composite attachments.
The M210 Home Media Center is set to hit stores soon in Australia, distributed through Softline. While originally an end of March release was slated, the exact date is yet to be set.
