The Note 8 might not be the only handset Samsung has waiting in the wings, with new leaks revealing the existence of the Galaxy S8 Active.
Both photos and video of the device surfaced this week on Reddit, with a user claiming to have borrowed the device from a friend.
In design, it looks very much like the standard S8. However, the difference here is quickly apparent. The Galaxy S8 Active features a flatter screen and slightly thicker design. The backside also looks to be a bit more rugged.
Spec-wise, the leaker claims that the Galaxy S8 Active features a 5.8-inc AMOLED display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal storage, 12-megapixel rear-camera and 8-megapixel front-facing selfie shooter.
Beyond the guts of the thing, it looks like the Galaxy S8 Active will carry a lot of the usual perks found in the rest of the range: a fingerprint sensor, USB-C and Qi charging compatibility and on-screen controls.
No word yet on waterproofing but the handset will feature a 4000mAh battery, which promises (at least, on paper) to offer significantly longer use-time.
