Lenovo has collected a swag of Red Dot product design awards following the completion of this year’s judging process, with 10 Lenovo products receiving recognition as part of the Red Dot Award: Product Design 2015.This year saw 4,928 entries from 56 countries, with a jury of 38 international experts deliberating on the awards, assessing products on criteria including functionality, degree of innovation, formal quality and ecological compatibility.
Lenovo added to its six 2014 awards, with the winning products including its Horizon 2s and A740 all-in-one PCs, Y40 laptop, ThinkVision Pro2840m and X24 monitors, ThinkStation P900 workstation, ThinkPad Yoga 14 multimode laptop, ThinkPad Stack and ThinkPad tablets and accessories.
Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 Carbon also took home an award for the second year running.
Johnson Li, Lenovo PC Design executive director, noted Lenovo has collected 37 Red Dot design awards in recent years.
Li said Lenovo’s design teams “will continue to apply an entrepreneurial spirit to craft even more innovative products in the future”.
