LG have introduced a new compact and portable laser projector that the company said can deliver bright cinematic picture measuring up to 120 inches.
The LG ProBeam can project up to 2,000 lumens of brightness thanks to its advanced laser engine. While not 4K, the ProBeam packs in Full HD picture quality into its 2.1kg frame, making it one of the lightest Full HD-capable 2,000 lumens laser projectors available.
“As an industry leader in LED projectors, LG continually pushes the boundaries of innovation to provide consumers with affordable, high performing, and artfully designed home entertainment products,” said Tim Alessi, head of Home Entertainment product marketing at LG Electronics USA.
“With the ability to project up to 2,000 lumens of brightness and a picture as big as 120 inches (diagonal), the lightweight and versatile LG ProBeam can transform any living space into your very own home theater,” Alessi added.
An Auto Keystone feature helps to align the projector vertically and keep the picture quality free of distortion, and connectivity options let the ProBeam communicate with other devices, including Bluetooth audio out and wireless mirroring via the LG TV Plus app on compatible devices.
The ProBeam also features LG’s webOS Smart TV software, enabling streaming services like Netflix to be played directly on the projector.
Pricing and availability haven’t been announced for Australia, but the projector is available now in the US for RRP $1,499.99 ($2028).
