LG Electronics Australia is set to launch a new 65″ wireless OLED TV that is set to incorporate new AI technology into their Smart TV WebOS platform so that they can capture and sell additional data on consumers who buy one of their wireless TVs claims insiders.
The new LG wireless boxes that are seperate from the TV, have improved wireless transmission technology after consumers using the original box that was shown at CES in 2023 reported drop out and poor wireless transmissions.
With the new offering due in Australia soon, The maximum refresh rate for 4K resolution has been increased from 120Hz to 144Hz,
LG claims that the higher refresh rate allows improves sports viewing which had been a problem in the past due to stutter vision issues.
This should be overcome with the inclusion of 60GHz high-band frequency for wireless transmission.
This technology should deliver stable performance without interference from conventional Wi-Fi networks that typically operate on bandwidths below 6GHz.
The only problem with the LG wireless TV offering is that it’s housed in a big ugly box that users need to find space for which is not always convenient in some apartments.
The new 2024 models Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, and are powered by Alpha 11 processor.
THE South Korean Company that is making tens of millions in profit selling data captured via their Web OS software have upgraded their smart TV platform with AI now used to capture voice data using voice commands, with the AI recognizing individual voices.
