Must be a day for mobiles. After discovering that Nokia is about to release a smart phone, we fnid that LG’s Renoir KC910 has been spotted in London, with tech site Electricpig getting one to play with.
What makes this unit so special? Well, it is the first touchscreen phone that has an 8 megapixel camera attached.
As well having 8 megapixel sensor, it comes with sliders to adjust zoom and focus. It also has technologies associated with some of the compacts released recently such as face recognition and blink detection. It also is said to have ISO 1600 for good performance in low light.
Other features outside of its photo-taking capabilities include Wi-Fi, DivX, Dobly technology, as well as GPS. DivX means the phone’s memory can be extended when taking videos because the files can be compressed without affecting quality.
It’s all hidden behind a new interface, with widgets for quick access to favourite functions.
