HMD Global has launched the new ‘Nokia 7.1’, highlighting its reduction to just $199 when purchased on a $65 SIM-only plan from JB Hi-Fi.
The Nokia 7.1 will land at JB Hi-Fi and Harvey Norman in ‘Midnight Blue’ on October 17th for RRP $499.
JB Hi-Fi Director of Communications and Product Services, Andy Ellis, claims the retailer is pleased to welcome the Nokia 7.1 as HMD Global’s first device on its new SIM-only plans.
“We are thrilled to announce that the new Nokia 7.1 will be available outright at JB Hi-Fi for $499 or only $199 for customers who opt for our new $65 BYO plan,” affirms Ellis.
“We’re proud to already offer a range of Nokia mobile devices in our stores across Australia and we’re committed to continuing to expand our smartphone offering with the latest releases”.
HMD Global claims the 5.8-inch device is its first smartphone to incorporate ‘PureDisplay’ screen technology, which aims to significantly enhance mobile video display.
Nokia claims over two thirds of video content is now played on mobile phones, with the ‘7.1’ pledging to deliver premium HDR quality including; higher contrast, greater clarity and enhanced colours.
Viewing is further enhanced by a 19:9 aspect ratio, powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon™ 636 Mobile Platform.
As part of the Android One family, the new Nokia 7.1 will receive three years of monthly security patches and two years of OS updates.
