An iconic set of Braun speakers are set to be revived by the Pure Audio brand.
The LE speakers debuted in 1959 designed by renowned Braun head of design Dieter Rams.
28 years after Braun exited audio, a revival of the speakers is set to debut in September at this year’s IFA trade fair in Berlin.
The speakers will be produced by British brand Pure Audio, who license the Braun Audio name from Procter & Gamble and are aiming to ensure the “iconic brand once again takes its rightful place as the industry benchmark in premium audio”.
Details remain sparse but the speakers promise to feature “state-of-the-art technology and connectivity”.
Pure Audio, distributed in Australia by Aqipa, is known primarily for its digital, internet and Bluetooth radios, suggesting the new LE speakers will likely be self-powered and support some form of wireless streaming.
