SYDNEY – Qantas has upped the ante on its Wi-Fi service for domestic passengers, after inking a deal with Cricket Australia that will see some passengers able to watch Ashes matches as well as one-day internationals, T20 matches and the final Women’s Ashes match,
“Qantas is proud to support the men’s and women’s teams through our Cricket Australia partnership, and as part of that we’re able to offer more than 400 hours of live cricket over the season to around 60,000 customers inflight every week,” said Qantas chief customer officer Olivia Wirth.
The airline has installed ViaSat’s in-flight Wi-Fi service on a number of domestic aircraft network, but so far not on any international flights.
