The Note7 will also be the first Samsung smartphone to offer High Dynamic Range (HDR) video streaming capability for a richer, more realistic video streaming experience.
The company says they’ll be partnering with Amazon to bring more HDR-ready video content to smartphones.
It’s expected that the partnership will see Amazon’s Original content like Mozart in the Jungle and Transparent make the jump to HDR.
Netflix and other digital content providers have begun offering HDR-enabled content for high-end TVs over the last year.
It’s unknown if Samsung will also look to work with those distributors as well or throw its lot in with Amazon.
At this stage, it’s really too early to tell if smartphone-ready HDR content will even take off.
