To celebrate the unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy Ring at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2024, the company has designed a new infographic sharing the entire history of is wearable devices.
The journey began in 1999 with the release of the SPH-WP10, which was the world’s first commercialised watch phone.
One year later was the SPH-S100, which had added text entry and voice dialing features. Then came the 2003 Watch Phone, which came with a colour OLED display.
Bluetooth headsets didn’t arrive until 2005, and the company has continued refining its wrist-worn collection in the last 2 and ½ decades.
The Galaxy Watch6 and Galaxy Fit3 culminated all those efforts, then came products like the Galaxy Buds2.
The upcoming Galaxy Ring is tipped to become official during Samsung’s 2024 Unpacked event, which could take place in early to mid-July.
The Galaxy Z Fold6 and ZFlip6 are also rumoured to be unveiled at this event as well.
