Sony has taken on Jabra and Sennheiser with its new noise-cancelling wireless earbuds – the WF-1000XM3 for RRP $399.95.
Available in black and platinum silver, the earbuds release in Australia sometime this month.
The WF-1000XM3 pledges a “next level of silence” courtesy of its Dual Noise Sensor technology and HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1e.
The true wireless earbuds offer stable connectivity, 6 hours play-time, comfortable fit and Adaptive Sound Control.
With quick charging capabilities, ten minutes of charging claims to deliver 90 mins of playing time.
The product also offers customisable touch controls and supports Google Assistant.
“Following the huge success of our WH-1000XM3 headphones, we are thrilled to be able to offer
customers Sony’s innovative Industry-leading noise cancellation in a truly wireless in-ear form factor,” asserts Abel Makhraz, Deputy GM, Consumer Sales & Marketing, Sony ANZ.
“The WF-1000XM3 earbuds provide the benefits of the over-ear headphones, in a compact and lightweight design, and we are delighted to welcome these new headphones to the 1000X family.”
The earbuds’ Dual Noise Sensor technology harnesses its new HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN1e – to “catch and cancel noise.”
The processor seeks to create inverted sound waves to offset background noise, using less power and increasing noise cancellation.
A Digital Sound Enhancement Engine HX claims to upscale compressed digital music files including MP3 formats, bringing users closer to the quality of high-resolution audio.
The headphones are compatible with the Sony Headphones Connect app, offering noise, sound and touch control customisation.
