The latest version of PC tune up software System Mechanic 14 has two big new features: a way to deliver more processing power and a way for laptop batteries to lower battery consumption.
System Mechanic 14 is listed as the No.1 PC tune up software in the US, UK, Canada, France and elsewhere, and has a big range of performance tuning features.
Current features include a Stability Guard to keep Windows fast and problem free, a NetBooster to speed up net connections, a Total Registry Revitaliser to keep the Windows registry problem-free, AcceleWrite to speed up file write speeds, PC Cleanup to delete over 50 types of junk files, a Program Accelerate to “re-aligh disjointed program files”, and an Energy Booster to “put your PC in overdrive for max performance.
There’s also a “Crudd Remover” to located and remove unused extra programs, a Memory Mechanic to reclaim wasted RAM in real time, a startup optimiser to accelerate PC startup in 22 ways and a Privacy Cleaner to permanently wipe internet and chat history, clutter and cache files.
However, there are two big new features of faster processing and lower battery consumption thanks to PowerSense and LiveBoost which are designed to “free the PC user from Windows’s default ‘balanced power mode’ and the slow app speed it often causes”.
‘PowerSense’ is claimed to “automatically channels system resources and optimises power settings and processor modes in real-time to meet the needs of PC users.”
The other feature is called LiveBoost which uses real-time optimisation to calibrate RAM, CPU and disk space in conjunction with PowerSense to “dynamically sense what PC users are doing and automatically switch PC power settings and processor modes in real-time to have PCs perform precisely to users’ needs based on their activity”.
The Company says PowerSense uses two different modes to achieve ultimate power optimisation:
– Ultra Performance Mode – To unleash raw, fast, uncompromised power for intense and exhaustive PC activities: gaming, creating music, video editing, programming and other processor intensive activities. Ultra Performance Mode achieves this by focusing all processor cores on the session at full power and turns off all non-essential background programs.
– Endurance Mode – This mode reduces battery consumption when the top priority is a long-lasting mobile session, especially for non-processor-intensive activities such as writing, reading or casual web browsing. Endurance Mode achieves this by idling down non-critical processor cores and reduces processor power consumption.
