The company made headlines when it showcased the TVs at CEATAC, a smaller show like CES in Japan earlier this year.
The new models are tipped to be priced between $1,400 – $2,800.
Toshibas digital media network Masaaki Oosumi hinted that the screens that will be revealed at CES may be bigger than than 20″ with some tipping a 32″ TV which is a category that Toshiba Australia has been highly competitive in during the past year.
“It has been three months, I think we should show [the TVs] with better technology,” said Masaaki Oosumi. “Next year is the key year to extend development of the technology and extend the screen size,” he added.
