Whilst streaming service, Hulu, lead the charge with American users in November last year, Aussies were yet to receive a dedicated video app.

The Switch YouTube app doesn’t permit video downloading for offline use, which is slight con for aircraft bound passengers.

As per The Verge, users can stream their ‘Movies Anywhere’ library, which is displayed under YouTube purchases.

Some touch screen support is available, however, the Switch’s joystick and hard buttons remain the primary means of perusing YouTube.

As an added bonus, YouTube for Switch fully supports 360-degree videos.

The YouTube for Switch app can be downloaded for free from the Nintendo eShop, with users able to sign in via their Google account.
