It is the feud that will never end, Amazon and Google are at it again this time over security products with the online giant to stop stocking Nest products.
This comes after Nest announcing earlier this year that it will be moved back into Google’s mainstream hardware operation.
According to Business Insider, Amazon informed Nest that it will no longer be stocking its latest smart home device such as the Nest thermostat and Nest security devices.
The conversation occurred over the phone late last year. Nest products on Amazon will still be available until sold out and will not be restocked.
These two companies have been at each other’s throats for a while as they both try to dominate the smart speaker segment with their products, Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
Amazon is making moves in the smart home department with its acquisition of doorbell specialists Ring for US$1bn.
The Nest Cam-IQ is available in Australia with Google Assistant to soon be launched later this year.
Google bought Nest in 2014 for US$3.2bn.
